I thoroughly enjoyed this book. From beginning to end I was kept in suspense of what was to happen next. I wanted Tris to come out on top of every situation. She is definitely the underdog in this book and I always root for the little guy. She has to overcome many obstacles and she has to watch her back along the way to make sure that her secret stays hidden. With her love interest as her guide and biggest supporter Tris makes some of the biggest decisions of her young life. I can't wait to read

I liked it pretty well, but I'm not quite on the bandwagon as much as some. I love strong female characters, but this one just didn't keep my attention like I think it should have.

I really wanted to like this book, even if it meant regressing to my 15 year old self. But I had a very hard time relating to Tris. Although the premise is thought provoking I felt like violence became the primary source of interest (plus the totally predictable romance) instead of the real heart I was looking for within.
