I bought this as the snow storm approached on Friday and I've been compulsively reading ever since. Highly recommended by many of my students and it's....good. LOTS of clunky writing, but the story is good and I like the metaphors--boys/men are monsters/ sex and love are dangerous etc...The main characters are good etc and I like getting in on a phenomenon to see for myself what the allure is--break it down to: girls/women like bad boys who are no good for them but are also good kissers.... ...more

Good - quick read. I got roped into reading it by some very enthusiastic nice, but almost cult-like twilight fans. Very "high school" and takes you back to the days of first love :) Hard to put down and a definite page turner. Excited to see what's next in the series.

Actually it's very sensual and there's just a lot of sexual tension and teasing, so it's exciting there. Almost seems like a cheesy romance novel with some things, but I do get sucked into it and my heart goes pitter patter with som ...more

I decided to check this book out because of all they hype that it was getting. I have never been into vampire books or fantasy type stories. I really found this book to be enjoyable. The first two chapters went by a little too slow. I had a hard time putting this book down after I had been reading it for awhile. It was definitely entertaining. I am interested in seeing the movie. I would like to read the other books in the series. Even though I heard that the 1st one is the best.

It wasn't terrible but it wasn't really good. It reads like a bad fanfic. But at least now I can say I've read it and mock it with knowledge!
