Serasa menonton ulang film Before Sunrise..., tapi lebih datar

2.5, really. This book was nowhere near as well-written or wonderful as the first book. Everything was so incredibly cliche and had a very gag-me quality to it. I really did eye roll towards the conclusion of the book.

There were moments that had great potential. That were deep and real and almost powerful. Then they would be thinned out with a few more cliches and predictable plot points. Boo hiss.

This was better than the first book, which is interesting for a number of reasons. Although it seems like the first one should be more shocking, this is the one where the raw emotions and aftermath are truly felt. Told from Adam's perspective, the characters are much more present than when Mia narrates the story from her ghostly state.

Where She Went and If I Stay are two very different books, but they are both fantastic. It’s a rare thing for an author to write a sequel that both takes a different turn with a story and still manages to be just as good as the first book.

Where She Went follows the story of Adam, Mia’s boyfriend, after the events of the first book. He has become a successful rock star, but still has so much emotio

Read the first book be happy with it, in your mind envision the happy ending. This book I could not connect with at all and it's not because it was written from a male perspective. That has nothing to do with it, what it does have to do with is the lack of any plot, any hook, and what feels like a lazy sequel. I could not relate t ...more
