I'm exhausted so all I can say right now is that I'm glad I ignored the blurb and snippets about the book. The edition I have has a big USA Today quote saying how much Twilight fans will love the book and a Q&A in the back talking about Twilight some more. THIS BOOK HAS ZERO SIMILARITIES TO TWILIGHT.
Even if I was a Twilight fan, I would acknowledge that there were no similar qualities at all -- beyond a female protagonist and young love. It's not paranormal, it doesn't read like a 3rd grader wr ...more

This was a very sad book. Hopes get crushed and the fleeting nature of life really smacks you in the face. I didn't bawl, but this book really makes you tear up and feel very heavy.
Mia, a regular girl who loves music, has a boyfriend, and has an adorable doting family, finds her life changed in mere seconds. The real struggle arises when she finds herself staring at the aftermath, and is forced to decide whether she wants to stay in this life, or join her family in death.
