There were such great reviews for this book and I'm a little mixed on it. Good characters and very interesting plot. Another author who uses her supporting characters well. The world building in this book is awesome. The writing is poetry. So beautiful. I loved Karou, a girl raised by monsters. The romance got a lot hotter and heavier than I expected. This was my second try at this book. It was a little hard to get into mostly because there are so many crazy names that all start with K and weird descriptions of beasts all at the first of the book. I'll read the next ones but it didn't leave me on such a cliffhanger that I need to pick up the next one right now. ...more

Please don't break my heart. I am on the rebound, having recently separated from a book that just couldn't keep me happy. Let's not "take it slow" and "give things time to develop". I'm ready to take the plunge and dive in head first. I need a book that can hold my interest and excite me. Please don't let me down! ...more

I flew through this and can't wait to read the next in the series. Thought I was over the "angel" romance, but guess not. Lol
