The Hunger Games would been a lot better if it was a standalong novel like it was originally until the money rolled in. I say that because I enjoyed the first half of the book, even though I though all the districts could have been talked about in detail, even though it was not needed. Then the second half was basically a reuse of the second half of the first book as it seemed Collins was quickly writing the book, and running out of ideas that made the Hunger Games more unique. Full of slight twists or shocking moments that had me laughing out loud and proclaiming "oh my gosh!". Friends in ear shot got to listen to clips of what I had read and told me they wanted to start reading the first book. Great 2nd book in the series, am looking forward to the third (and final?) chapter!
