This was a cute YA book. I had said I wasn't going to read anymore YA contemporary books because they are just to young but I've wanted to read this one since the day it first came out and everyone was reading about it. It didn't disappoint me but it was just your typical ya romance book.
Both jack and peppe were cute and of course we were routing for them to finally kiss!!! I wanted more but the book would have to be a new adult for that to happen. It was still a cute moment when they finally k ...more

This novel is a fantastic summer read! Even though it is rated YA, I would not hesitate about my middle schoolers reading it. There are a couple of kisses, but they are sweet and innocent. A few kids from school drink, but it is barely mentioned, and the main characters don't.
I love the stories of two people falling for each other through writing (messaging, apps, letters, emails, texts, etc.) without knowing for sure who the other one is. The guessing and questioning of those around you is a f ...more

I was excited to finally get a hold of this book, but everything fell flat for me. I whizzed through this book in a few hours and I felt nothing. Sometimes I couldn't even differentiate Pepper and Jack's point-of-views when I wasn't paying attention to the chapter headers - their voices were so similar. Also, the ebook formatting (on my phone, at least) is a nightmare when it comes to the tweets and the chat messages. The premise was interesting, but this is not a book I would come back to.
