What Members Thought
I was very excited about this book, after reading some great reviews. I felt that it started out strong, the premise: Time-Traveling Pirates! was fun, and I liked the motley cast of characters. As long as they were traveling, I enjoyed myself, but I found the whole "heist-planning" middle lagged quite a bit. It picked up again near the end, making it an enjoyable read overall.

Loved MOST of this book. Loved the characters and the setting and concept of being able to sail through history and visit any place or time period, as long as you have a map. Loved reading about Hawaii. But towards the end, I got very confused. I couldn't follow who all the characters were and what they were trying to accomplish. I loved the premise. I loved the worldbuilding. For me, though, the characters fell flat. I don't feel like I really got to know the main character or any of the others for that matter. The descriptions of Hawaii were amazing and I want to go there, but there was so much that could have been done with this concept. As others have said, I wanted more.
