Liked it a lot! But could have been better.
This book-
It was different-but beautiful
It dragged on- but it encircled you in the story
It was confusing in multiple parts- and yet it still weaved itself right through and tied it all back.
(Questionable) Pirates meet time traveling with maps and myths.
The general concept of the story was lovely! I definitely liked the mix of mythology and time traveling sailors. Although some of the myths and whole time traveling did throw me off at the beginning ...more

Loved MOST of this book. Loved the characters and the setting and concept of being able to sail through history and visit any place or time period, as long as you have a map. Loved reading about Hawaii. But towards the end, I got very confused. I couldn't follow who all the characters were and what they were trying to accomplish. I loved the premise. I loved the worldbuilding. For me, though, the characters fell flat. I don't feel like I really got to know the main character or any of the others for that matter. The descriptions of Hawaii were amazing and I want to go there, but there was so much that could have been done with this concept. As others have said, I wanted more.
