This was a cute YA novel about coming out to your school but also about race prejudice and friendship. I really liked the main character, Liz because she was spunky but not over the top. Her love interest was fun and I liked Mel as well. I liked how the book was set up in weeks and while it all wrapped up in a nice little bow at the end, I did enjoy it. I didn't love it as some others have but liked it just fine and will be promoting it to my students, especially during prom season. ...more

5 Stars!

I LOVED this book! Honestly, I went into it assuming it would be a sweet little read without much substance, but it was equal parts adorable and moving. I read it both on audiobook and ebook, and the narrator did such an amazing job that I would not have been able to appreciate it as much if I simply read the ebook. I highly recommend!!

Oh this was sooo sweet. There was romance, but it wasn’t overly sappy. Main character, Liz, is a really good person, and I was pulling for her throughout the book. There was some conflict, but ultimately, a great story about a cool, smart, kind girl who overcomes challenges.

This cute YA Rom Com was everything I hoped it would be! The queer love is sweet and innocent. I LOVED it!
