Boy oh boy, it is rough to have to rate this so low.
A favorite author of mine, not just because of his books but because of his character and my long-standing as a Vlogbrothers watcher.
This will almost definitely go down as the absolute most underwhelming book I read this year with the highest potential of being incredible.
There were so many trails and dangles of wonderful story and deep character depth. But, he just abandoned it? It felt so much more empty than any of his previous works. Idk. I ...more

I enjoyed this book, however I tend to enjoy most of John Green's books. There are still the ten characters who often use words and philosophize in ways I wouldn't really expect teenage to did but I still find them charming.
Aza was an interesting character. It is nice to see mental illness portrayed in books and this seems well done (I myself don't suffer from the type of anxiety that Aza does so I can only speculate that this is a good portrayal). I also really love that female friendship play ...more
