First, can we talk about this?

Laini Taylor posted it on her Twitter. It's from the French version of the book and makes my hearts swoon. This is exactly how I picture Sarai and Lazlo.
Now let's talk about all the rules this book broke and still worked.

Actual rating: 3.5 stars
Laini Taylor is a beautiful writer, and she somehow can dredge up nostalgia for 2012-2015 YA like not many authors can.
However, I think the first half of this book was way more fascinating than the second half. The first half sweeps you up in the same mystery that the protagonist Lazlo is obsessed with. The mystery of Weep. It's strange and interesting and makes you wish that weird magical things happened in your universe. However, sometimes great mysteries just get answ ...more

I thought this was a stand-alone, not a series. I am so tired of waiting to the next installment!! Oh well. I didn't enjoy this as much as her other series, but so far I am intrigued. I am interested to see what will happen next.
