I have so many things to say. I don't know where to start, or if I'll be able to address them all at this time so just ignore my review if it seems a little all over the place. I have yet to completely gather my thoughts.

This is a popular, action-packed, and rather dark series. When I started reading A Reaper at the Gates, I THOUGHT it was the last one in the series, but there's ONE MORE! It does seem to get worse before things get better! The book opens with the Nightbringer's point of view, and that is a shift from the earlier books. This series is seriously addicting. I could not put this book down. I still love Helene and find Elias annoyingly boring. Laia is fine, as usual. This book was action packed and suspenseful but I really felt like it was lacking in something. It felt all over the place, with weird pacing and no distinct beginning, middle and end. I definitely liked this the least out of the series so far. And yet I enjoyed it so much. I cannot wait to read the conclusion.
