Goblet of Fire has always been one of my favorite Harry Potter books. I love how this book takes a leap forward into the world of young adulthood for both the characters and the series. For our beloved students, crushes and dances and passionate causes abound! Moreover, the somewhat disconnected adventures of the previous three novels begin to gel into a cohesive recounting of Voldemort's struggle to return to human form. I have read the harry Potter books many MANY times and they just get better each time. I love the world that J.K. Rowling created and the people she wrote to populate it. It feels equal parts fantastical and believable. This series is an absolute must read regardless of your age or interest in the subject material. These books are true modern classics which will definitely stand the test of time.

So far I'm amazed how much they had to leave out for the movie version of this book. You really see how the kids are growing up at this point. And the relationships that form later start to peak out of the pages.
