My favorites from the first Selection, America & Maxon are now ruling Illéa, and their daughter, Eadlyn is the future queen. Eadlyn is self-centered but she grew up knowing that she would be the future queen so she had to be strong and look out for herself because she will be the first girl to inherit the throne. I don't hate her as much as everyone else does (in the book & in real life) but she definitely has her flaws. She hosts her own Selection to take the spotlight off of the fallout from h ...more

I loved the other books so I was excited to read about Mer and Max's kids. But their daughter Eadlyn, I had a hard time liking. She is complex and the situation is complicated. Then by the end of the book she was growing on me and I understood her character more.

I'm very excited about the next one and can't wait to read it. One of the reason I'm excited about the next book is that it has more mystery to it. In the first three everyone one was rooting for America and Max to be together, in this o ...more
