What Members Thought
This was an unexpected treasure.
I thought the whole book was going to be on the depressing side with both Finch and Violet having depression issues but it actually had some funny light hearted moments that gave me hope that both the characters were going to come out OK.
Don't get me wrong there were some heart wrenching moments were I was in absolute tears but this book is worth the little crying jags and really hit home because I have some people that are close to me that have a type mental of ...more

I just can't decide what to do about this book. And it seems to be a love it or hate it kinda book. Plus, I'm not a fan of John Green, so all the comparisons concern me a little. (I am amused that both sides of the fence seem to agree with this comparison, lots of "Oh, I love John Green and this is just as good as anything he would write" and just as many "I Despise John Green, and this mirror all the things I can't stand about his books")

Heart wrenching, beautiful, and sad. I loved the budding romance of Theo Finch and Violet. Probably not appropriate for middle school but would highly recommend to high school students.
