What an adorable story. With a pink cover and a name like "Everything Leads to You," it's pretty obvious it's going to be very cute. It has two sweet characters, and a love story. Nothing complicated her “We love films because they makes us feel something. They speak to our desires, which are never small. What an adorable story. With a pink cover and a name like "Everything Leads to You," it's pretty obvious it's going to be very cute. It has two sweet characters, and a love story. Nothing complicated here. The only problem I had with this story was the lack of a real plot. It was romantic, and filled with movie production, except there was no rising action.

The story focuses on the tale of Emi and Ava, two girls who find each other with the help of some investigating. Emi is an interning set designer for movie productions when she arrives at the house of newly dead famous actor Clyde Jones. Looking around his house, she finds a Patsy Cline album with a mysterious letter inside addressed to Caroline. When Emi and her best friend Charlotte start looking for Caroline, it leads them to Ava, Clyde Jones' granddaughter.

This, sadly, was the basic extent of the plot. The rest of it dissolves into romantic fluff, which was great in its own way. I loved how Emi completely accepted her own identity. It was wonderful to read an LGBTQ romance in which there was no prior struggle over sexuality. Those books are wonderful too, but this was surprisingly refreshing because it allowed the reader to focus on the relationship itself. I felt Emi as a character was more developed than Ava, but that may have just been because she was the narrator.

Ava was interesting in that she had no prior knowledge of her family at all, and suddenly she was saddled with one of the most famous actors in the world as her grandfather as well as a huge trust fund. Her struggles were evident, especially because her adoptive mother was not accepting of her sexuality. Rags-to-riches stories aren't very believable, but it's interesting to see how the characters cope with the drastic changes in their lives.

The focus on movie production was also very interesting. I loved the way Emi could picture a room and put it together with tiny details based on the personality of its owner. Overall, the book was very nicely written. It wasn't very different from your typical contemporary story, which I'm pleased about. LGBTQ representation is increasing, and it's important that is should become perfectly acceptable across all genres.

This was such a cute and great reading ❤️. At first I though it was lacking a little bit of depth but halfway through it I started to really feel for all the characters, their coming of age story and the mistery.
