This is an important YA book. A purely authentic tale of a boy who spends 5 days in an adult psych hospital in New York City, It's Kind of a Funny Story reaches on a lot of emotional levels. This is an excellent book that deals with a teen struggling with depression and anxiety. The author somehow manages to write about this very serious topic in a light and quirky way that really engages the reader. If any educators are looking for a YA book to recommend to students on this topic this is a great one. 🙌😀❤️
