When I read this for myself (the first time) I remember liking it. however rereading this via audiobook nearly broke me. Just because Brandon Fraser played Mo in the movie Inkheart does not mean he should narrate this second book. Nope. I did not like how he voiced the characters. Most of them grated on me and all sounded wrong! It is why it took weeks to read this the second time. I struggled to listen to another disc for very long.
I liked seeing Maggie and Farid's relationship grow. Fenolio a

I loved Inkheart, but I loved Inkspell even more. I haven't read Inkdeath yet. I've a little gunshy after Harry Potter. I mean, after book 7, no more Harry. How very, very sad. So my messed up mind says, it you don't read the last book, it don't have to end. I know it's stupid, but there it is. ...more

I remember really getting in to this book. I'm re-reading it in preparation for reading the 3rd and final in the series. Woo Hoo!

Ok, I just finished it for the second time. I was in total suspense. I couldn't remember what happened. It was a great read! I love Dustfinger and Farid.

Love, love, love, love this series. So beautifully written, such great characters, such a multi-layered plot, such fantastic balance. I cannot WAIT to read Inkdeath.
