Similar in tone to Larkswood, that I read earlier in the year, this manages to be a genuinely spooky book despite not having any actual ghosts. The whole concept of twisted twins is bound to create some chilling situations, and with murder, suicide and a deeply messed up family life too this is one to read on long winter evenings.
