It gave me nightmares last night. It made me feel physically bad at pages, at times it sent shivers down my spine, it made me really think about the limits of both physical and mental pain a person can endure and not get beaten down and crushed. And it taught me things about motherhood I think I didn't know, and again taught me about the importance of being brave and courageous, which I know but often forget, and for the first time it made me genuinely humble and grateful for the everyday freedo
