Ugh. All the hype about the show so I dared to start with the book. So many unanswered questions. What happened to the world? Why on earth live the way they do. So much is backwards and since feelings have little to do in this world, I get how they live even less. I liked Offred's character overall but this dragged. I didn't get the motives of many others. I don't get the different changes back and forth that happen with the country. And the ending was vague and very unspecific. And after all th ...more
