This book took me by surprise. I didn't expect to like it this much. I thought it was rather boring at first, but after a couple of pages it became exciting and terrifying.

This book really shows you how screwed up man kind really is. It shows you everything that is wrong with society today by bringing up all the defects in human nature. No matter what we do, human nature is going to spoil it in the end.

Had to read this in school.

Absolutely hated it.

Love the premise. Sounded like a book I'd enjoy. But I absolutely hated it.

Overall great commentary on human nature, behavior, and society, but... I could not have possibly hated the little shits in this book any more than I did. ...more

I had to catch my breath after finishing this book. I couldn't put it down. It was so horribly, wonderfully, realistic. Really, if a bunch of boys were trapped on a deserted island together, especially boys with the vibrant personalities these characters have, the result was inevitable.
