Shelves: young-adult, classics
This really is a great read. I enjoyed it as a younger reader for it's adventure and I enjoyed it recently as an adult for her struggle, the story and her story. This book has triumphs and failures. It is sad, tragic at times and others you are cheering her on. I could not imagine being left alone so long the way she was but how she overcomes many hardships and the choices she makes, make for an amazing character. My favorite parts involve her dog. ...more
