This has to be one of my favorite high fantasy adventures! And to think the author wrote this book when he was only 16 (published at age 20)! This story takes us over mountains, through vast cities, enemy towers, deep underground and more! And Saphira is one of the most characterized dragons I have ever read about. After the first hundred pages...this really starts to pick up and pulls you in..up until then I had to force myself to keep going back; it wasn't bad...just lengthy in description I wasn't interested in.
I enjoyed the story much! Although people have said that Mr Paolini has copied from the ever famous Lord of the Rings...while I agree that there are some things that are similar, he's done a great job of keeping his story fresh and interesting and new enough to make you want to see what happnes n ...more

I found it to be a slow start but soon picked up.
I really enjoyed the middle of the book and like the interation between Eragon, Brom and Saphira.
However I found that my interest waned when he reached the fortress na Di really didn't enjoy the last section of the book.
To be honest I'm not invested enough in the characters to e
