This book is brilliant, my initial thoughts about the writing style was Bill Bryson crossed with Nancy Mitford.... Only with more swearing..... And more squirrel hand puppets, and I stand by that description. The book is a memoir of Jenny Lawson from early childhood memories up until the present, and describes growing up and living in rural Texas in hilarious, and sometimes gruesome detail. This book was hilarious! I love Jenny Lawson's blog, so when her memoirs came out I knew I had to read them. This is definitely not your traditional memoir. It's mixed up, out of order, goes off on strange tangents and is completely wonderful. I was laughing out loud throughout several of the chapters. My favorites were the stories from her time in HR, the laxative story and, of course, the big metal chicken story. This was the perfect light read to have fun with. This woman is funnier than most

This book was amazing. It was the absolute funniest thing I have ever read. Her humor is side splitting funny. Some of the stories were so-so, but i laughed at every single story. I have never been so impressed by a "mostly true" memoir. Kudos!
