What Members Thought

I listened to it, and the words came alive much better in Inkspell than they did in Inkheart, for me. Perhaps it was the difference of several years, but I'm willing to guess it was Brendan Fraser's wonderful reading of the story.

I really enjoyed going back into the Inkworld. They enter into the book and see all the beauty and trouble that lives there. Fenoglio and Meggie don’t like the direction the story has taken, so he tries and tries again to re-write it. There are always unforeseen complications. Everything they try twists back on them, it’s like the book doesn’t want a happy ending!

I enjoyed this book, but not as much as the first one - mostly because it wasn't as fluid as Inkheart. I especially didn't appreciate how it ended - it was a definite cliff-hanger and although I know there is a third book coming soon, it just didn't seem right to end as if there were going to be another chapter right away.
