This was a sweet story that would be great for middle schoolers. It's about different teens, from very different life backgrounds, becoming friends, appreciating each other, and supporting each other in major life transitions. Good character development. ...more

This is kind of a preteen book. I'd say it's about figuring out personal identity and realizing you can be the person you want to be, wherever your circumstances take you. I enjoyed it, and I may have learned a couple things I didn't know about astronomy. ...more

Listening to this book on CDs was a delight! I began to care about the characters, and I enjoyed this little campground world, in which teenagers who might normally ignore each other, learn more about themselves, accept each other and become friends. I loved the astronomy included, too. And I had to google images of total solar eclipses. Incredible.
