I just realised how insignificant my life is and how irrelevant are the troubles(sort of) that I face everyday. I wish to be succinct, since the more I try to express my emotions through the limited vocabulary that I have the more injustice I will be committing to this overwhelming feeling. I wish to hug my mom and my sister and acknowledge the trouble they might have gone through in making me what I am today.

An emotionally gripping story. Khaled has woven an intricate fabric of love and disdain, hope and despair. The narrative compellingly describes the feelings of characters at any point of time. High on emotional content, this tale makes you restless for all the trials and tribulations of its protagonists. But it also gives you solace in the courage and strength of Laila and Mariam.
