Cassandra Clare is one of my favs! I love how she keeps you from putting the book down and keeps your eyes glued to the page. The story is set in England around the Queen Victoria time period. Its a fantasy with vampires, warlocks and etc. Its about a young girl, Tessa, who is going to find her brother and it turns out not the way she expected. She finds out she is a Downworlder with powers and has to decide who is on her side and who is out to kill her.

Cassandra Clare has once again got me so sucked into this magical fantasy world that I just can't get enough of! I read this after reading the first four books of the Mortal Instruments, so I definitely was able to relate it to things that happen later on in the other series. Will reminds me so much of Jace that sometimes I had to remind myself that I was in a different time period with different characters. I got hooked the first chapter and was very surprised with the way things ended. I can't ...more

Loved this book so much. Got through it in literally 9 hours or so all in all. Enjoying these series much more then TMI to be honest. The characters are so much loveable. Even the villains.
