It starts out with a great premise: what if you could remain youthful and vibrant while a portrait of yourself took the toll of age and sin? It seemed very interesting. But the story really drags on with unnecessary details with only small points that actually seem to relate to the true story. Lord Harry seems to go on and on in his flowery and very boring speeches. Highly enjoyed reading this and would regard it as an essential classic. However, I don't think it quite lives up to its hype.
