i love this book!!!!All i know is it grabbed my attention and i refused to stop reading!!!!!I loved all the characters especially Tris for being a hardass!!!
Now about four-Tobias I have to say that he is sexy and amazing without even trying!!!!!

First book I've read that increased my heartbeat... It brought out my claustro-and-acrophobia; i kept hyperventilating. Tobias you are not alone!!

... Must stop reading because I'm getting closer to the end. To be honest if Peeta and Katniss to me was amazing then Tobias and Tris are profoundly exotic and has deprived all my emotions to like another fiction character.

REST was just me forcing myself to put the book down because I was suffocating from all the suspense, goodness and pleasure I got from this book.

This book is the first in the divergent trilogy. It's set in a futuristic utopian Chicago where the city has been cutoff from the outside world and live an ostensible idealistic life. This lifestyle follows a procedure of how, when a person is sixteen, is obligated into choosing a faction to live and allow it to dictate their life forever. Each faction is a quality or trait that people think will not corrupt the world again. There is erudite the smart; dauntless the fearless; abnegation the selfless; candor the honest and amity the peaceful ones. When you choose your faction, you are obligated to become a fanatic and ardent towards that trait and I mean it when I say that it dictates you. Anyway, Tris was originally an abnegation and chose the badass lifestyle of Dauntless - in which she has no experience what-so-ever. She then finds out that she's a divergent and must keep it a secret or suffer the consequence of death. Tris is also fighting to cope with the lifestyle of a dauntless and experiencing hardships that may take her life at any moment. As Tris continues her journey, she slowly realize that this 'perfect' world is becoming a dystopian world where the wrong action will not just cost a life but many others.

PROs:
Tris is a character I love. She has nothing special about her. She is not strikingly beautiful and have problems in retaining her emotions but all this makes her real. Something I admire about Tris is how she reacts to when something bad happens, she doesn't just cry and moan on how her life is terrible- because others are struggling as well. Tris is versatile in different environments, she has a brain and she uses it, she knows her weakness and she avoids it; and even when she does do something horrible and vicious I forgive her because I am then reminded of what she capable of - frankly I find heroin that are 'too' nice, weak. I believe that reality hurts and Tris is the epitome of that belief, she's not you average heroin, so get with the program of realism.

The romance in this book was not an instant attraction. It was something that grew from acquaintance to lovers. It was constructed with careful thought, the events that happens between our two lovers are what created their relationship - I find these relationships realistic, amiable, relatable and stable.

I wish could expand on with more positive thoughts but there really isn't anything I can do to describe how in awe I am with this book: if there are still people who haven't read this book, just do yourselves a favor and read it please....... Nowadays there are rarely any books that captured my heart like Divergent. Thank you Veronica Roth for creating this master piece that I was blessed with the chance of reading it. ...more

Ok… I dont know how to begin. I just finished the book. I’m in the utmost of awe. The author is indescribable. She chooses her words perfectly and I just adore every sentence. Every. Single. Sentence. She truly has an amazing amount of talent and skill. At the beginning of the book I thought it was going to be another dystopian that followed The Hunger Games and Delirium and that thought carried through for a lot of the book but almost half way through, it left my mind completely. To be honest, it took me a while to pick up this book. It was probably because I had other books to read. But I am so so glad I finally read it. This book was amazing. I was engaged from the very first page. I loved the whole idea of the Choosing ceremony and the five factions. So creative. I promise you it is as good as the Hunger Games. YA fans should definitely read this book. Now don't just scroll down and forget all about this book. I am telling you, you won't regret it.

I consumed a lot of emotions in this book.
I didn't expect to love this book. It's 1 of my favorite books now.
It is a must read. Promise :)
