I have never been more disappointed with a series as I was in The Vampire Diaries: The Return. I absolutely loved the original 4 books of The Vampire Diaries. I have read them over and over and over again over the last 20 years. When the new series came out, I was worried. From the very first page through the last, I was completely lost in this wonderful novel. With it's beautiful and wonderful descriptions of places, people, feelings, and so on, it's definitely the best of the Return Trilogy. Though, it definitely has a girlish quality to it with love triangles and what not. It's still completely captivating and perfect. This novel is definitely one of my absolute all time favorites.
