What Members Thought
I know this book is gaining popularity so fast that the backlash is starting to build. So I’ll just say this - I THOROUGHLY enjoyed it. It was fast paced, has a well-explained magic system that’s super intriguing. The mythology is captivating. There’s a bit of spice and definite sexual tension. And there are dragons. The end 🤩

Most of this book was a solid 5 stars for me. I was completely on board with the romance from the very first pages, my inner sixteen year old LOVES a bad boy, and Yarros delivered just the right amount of uncertainty and yearning to keep things moving forward. But I tend to get bored with romances as soon as the lovers finally declare themselves to each other, so once that happened I got antsy. And then the entire book changed and ...more
All I can say is OMG the ending! So glad the next book is out this fall and not in a year or two! I have not enjoyed a fantasy book this much since Harry Potter series.
