What Members Thought
It’s been a long time since I read a book that made me feel like I was watching a movie and didn’t want to stop reading so I could find out what happened. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to others.
Quick read with characters I just couldn’t connect with at all. Every time I thought something was going to get really interesting, the story fell flat. Caroline was, by far, the most irritating of the storytellers and her quest to discover herself just seems so basic. Bummed that I didn’t enjoy this one a bit more! Booktok steered me wrong!
I thought the swaps between narrators was done well, not frustrating as that style can sometimes be.
I enjoyed this story about the Victorian apothecary being uncovered modern day. Some parts of the relationships between characters required stretching your imagination. Overall this was a fun read.
