Trisha (trishabisen) | 2389 comments TEAM: FELLOWSHIP OF THE R(EAD)ING
25K Celebration Readathon

This thread is for members of the Fellowship of the R(ead)ing team to use however you wish in relation to the readathon. Your teammates are:
Lynn (Captain), Theresa (Assistant), Anu, Jennifer, Manni, Meghna, Pamela, Rebekah, and SarahKat.

Here is the link to your team’s spreadsheet, where you’ll be tracking your progress as you go.
If you have any questions about the readathon, how to interpret the prompts, how to use the spreadsheet, and so on, ask your Captain or Assistant first. If they don’t know, they can post the question(s) in the Readathon Central thread.

Happy reading! Let’s have a blast during this two-week readathon!

Pines for published in 2012 (1 of 2)
An Ember in the Ashes for A book in a series of 4 (1 of 4)

I'll put one or two on the spreadsheet "planning" tab later. Just throwing that out there for now :)

Read 4 books in a series of 4 (25% of a series).
A book in a 4-book series (25%)

Matched
Read 2 books with over 25,000 ratings each on Goodreads.

Any suggestions for other prompts?

Manni
Have you read the FAQs in the Readathon Central thread yet?
I posted the following earlier today.

For the "Read 4 books that include a party or anniversary celebration" task, do I have to read all four books myself?
This is a team marathon so, no, you don't. If you read one book that fits, that task will be 25% done; your teammates can read three more qualifying books to complete the task. Of course, you may read multiple books for a single task if your teammates are working on other prompts.
This applies to all multi-prompt tasks.

SarahKat | 6245 comments I'm glad you guys got rid of the example columns, that would have thrown off the possible fits column and now that Theresa and I have posted ours people can see how it's done.

The rest of you can post a few of your books on the planning page too so we can easily see which prompts will be harder to fill!

Also, I think it would be safe for others who have read a book someone has on there they could put an x in categories that book would fit that the person who posted wouldn't know yet. Like Jennifer said, we won't know some of them until we read them.

L Y N N (book_music_lvr) | 2389 comments Well, our medical emergency is ongoing at the moment. It looks as if he may need surgery. We supposedly will be getting an "emergency" appointment with specialists either Monday or Tuesday. We've been able to kinda settle into a routine this weekend, but the added complications of his dementia symptoms and unreliable memory complicate things. However, reading and challenges are my outlet for stress and frustration, so I am anxious to get us organized! I'm going to check out the spreadsheet and add my information and then run through these postings. Thank goodness for Theresa! :)

I love everybody's idea to start and then leave 100 pages. I will probably do that inadvertently since I just started a rather long one.

No one else has a book that fits this prompt and it is a single one, so if you will read this book that will fulfill this prompt! :)

"Read a book which has been translated into 25+ languages. Heidi"
We currently have (by my count) 7 for this category! That's so cool, 'cause I thought it might be more difficult to fill. Since it is only for one book, you might want to see what other prompts each of these would fulfill if you haven't already! :)
The others who listed are Theresa, manni, Pamela, and Meghna.
