What Members Thought

In short, this novel is about regrets. What regrets do you have? What decisions would you change if you could go back and do it all again?
If you don't read often, if you just don't have the time, or if you are just in a reading funk; please, please, trust me and read this damn book! So many thoughts and feels from this one! My new favorite of the year! And bonus, it's only 288 amazing pages!! ...more

This book has gotten so much hype and while I thought it was good and I wanted to see how it ended I didn't think it was worth the hype. I want to read another book by Matt Haig just to see if his writing style is for me. Maybe it is and it was just this book or maybe it's not and his writing style just isn't for me.

I have a particular annoyance with books that were clearly written with the hope they would be picked up for a screenplay. This is one of those books. The quality of the writing is a little weak and focuses more on dialogue and situations where you might find that amusing or funny in a movie, but as a book it falls a little flat. So yeah, interesting concept, but I’ve seen it done better, with better and more engaging writing.
