I have heard so much how this books was the best book everyone has ever read and I just wasn't into it. Finally at 150 pages into it I was getting to be on board with this book. Maybe it was just over hyped and that is the reason I didn't love this book like everyone else. 3 stars seems low for a book I ended up loving. so maybe it's more 3.75 stars. After watching the movie I was intrigued to read the book, especially after I learned that the author of the book wrote the screen play and directed the movie. I found that I spent much of my time reading this book and thinking back to the things the author had changed in the movie. The book definitely goes into more depth on teen issues and also went more in depth with Charlie's family much of what was skipped over in the movie.
