I’m not crying, your crying. I was engaged and connected with each plot line and character. At times this book wasn’t easy to read, WW2 is far from my favorite subject matter, but it’s so worth it.
Two sisters each went down a different road during World War II and along their journey, they discovered who they are as an individual and also what the other meant to them. A war story but is more that just the typical hiding and fighting, this one opens up the eyes to what it means to survive...and thrive when it is all said and done. Not only a war story but what it means to love and be loved, and what sacrifices we will make to keep loved ones safe. And not only what we do to save ourselves,

I haven't stayed up till the wee hours of the morning to finish a book in a long time. I could not put this book down. It was both devastating and inspiring.
