This book. THIS BOOK!!! This got into my brain and imagination and made itself at home. As a busy single mom of 4, I don’t typically have the luxury to devote huge chunks of time to a book. I spent every second I could with this one...lunch breaks I’d escape into some chapters. If i happened to wake up in the middle of the night bleary eyed I’d sneak in a few pages. Really loved the book, one of my favorite books of 2018. I laughed a lot and I cried a lot. What more could you want from a book. Loved how flawed Evelyn was.

This was such a great book! I listened to the audiobook and it was alright- but the story was so good! I mean it sheds light on the life and love of being a movie star! It also brings to light the struggles of the lgbtqia+ community. Can’t even imagine living in such denial and secrecy. Such a good book!!

Another wonderfully provocative and character driven story by this author. I again fully believed the characters, felt sorrow and joy along with them and never wanted the story to end.

I also highly recommend the audiobook for this. It was like listening to a play.
