So much has already been written about this funny smart book that all I'll say is that I wish I'd read it sooner! ...more

Does it make me crazy that I understood Bernadette? I might not be like her, but I understood her and loved her character. This was an enjoyable book and I was never bored. I recommend this to anyone who loves a good story from beginning to end!

What a tease ending. And yet not. I didn't hate this at all; it was fascinating and enjoyable in a grown-up horrible Wayside School is Falling Down sort of way.

I do hate it when people make light of infidelity these days though. Minus points for moral relativism, plus points for hilarity, intelligence and occasional sweetness. I am LOVING this book. Everybody who has lived in, currently lives in or dreams about living in Seattle should read this. It's a hilariously biased nod to Seattle where the author pokes vicious fun at everything PacNW and it's 100% true and 100% awesome. This is a nice story about the relation between a teenager and her mother that is a woman that has to learn to find herself and the place that she has in the world. Is a fast read that is made in a epistolary way that allow us to discover that there is way more behind each of the characters that are in the book and how each of them need to learn to find their own place in the world and assume that their "perfect world" is not as perfect as it seems. ...more

all the antics/adventures were great.
the style reminds me of a new-yorkian blog and some of the seattle idiosyncrasies where spot on... some not so much.
but the humor. the humor was well written and sort of slapstick and funny.
