While wil Wheaton is a terrific narrator, the writing is not for me

What a fun read (listen)! On a suggestion, I opted for the audiobook version, read by Wil Wheaton, and I'm so glad I did. He's definitely one of my favorite narrators. Having been a kid in the 80s, I loved all the pop culture references and was pretty much hooked from the start on the story. Definitely a book I'd suggest, especially to a Gen X-er, even if your not a gamer.

Excellent writing and pacing. Even if you're not into video games, the story still holds up. It's well explained by not boring. The book was good enough that I was disappointed it was over. I highly recommend this for anyone with young children that wants to get grasp on what the future might look like as it relates to technology.
