What a fun read (listen)! On a suggestion, I opted for the audiobook version, read by Wil Wheaton, and I'm so glad I did. He's definitely one of my favorite narrators. Having been a kid in the 80s, I loved all the pop culture references and was pretty much hooked from the start on the story. Definitely a book I'd suggest, especially to a Gen X-er, even if your not a gamer. ...more

Excellent writing and pacing. Even if you're not into video games, the story still holds up. It's well explained by not boring. The book was good enough that I was disappointed it was over. I highly recommend this for anyone with young children that wants to get grasp on what the future might look like as it relates to technology. Alot of the technology that is in this book is available now. I t might not be as high tech as in the book, but it is available. The other point, is that the world is ...more
