Audiobook Narrated by Campbell Scott
I really wish I would have read this book as I think I would have been able to give it a 5 star review. However, Campbell Scott was a little too monotone for my tastes and so some parts of the book that were intense did not come accross as scary as they could have been with a different narrator. Also as a note from someone who grew up near the area Estes Park is not pronounced to rhyme with testes. It is EST- ESS. This was a personal peeve as I listened.

I guess I never realized how great Stephen King's writing is. I never had any desire to pick up his books. I wasn't into horror of any kind. I always said I wanted to be entertained and not scared to death. I wasn't scared at all but I loved the story a lot.
I will say I looked forward to that famous line that Jack says "Here's Johnny" and it never came. I was disappointed that wasn't in the book. Thanks Hollywood LOL I loved that line while a wild eyed Jack Nicholson busts down the door with an ...more
