I made it almost halfway through the audio version when my checkout period ended and I decided it wasn't worth using another of my limited checkouts for the month to finish it.

The sacrifices of others
This tale reminds me how fortunate we are for the sacrifices made for us by our parents and grandparents.
I too had a father who came home different. I’m a baby boomer who never knew my father’s hard ships endured during WWII until years after his passing.
This tale has focused me on how fortunate we are. A lot of our issues are ‘first’ world and in the scheme of things not something to be worked up about.
