For all children of the 80's this book is for you. For all nerds this book is for you. For all computer geeks this book is for you. For all video game lovers this book is for you. For all underdogs this book is for you. I really enjoyed the nostalgic nature that this book brought out for me and I gave it an extra star just for that reason. If you have ever loved a movie so much you memorized all the lines, or been the top scorer on a video game, then you should run to read this book. I don't wan ...more

What a fun read (listen)! On a suggestion, I opted for the audiobook version, read by Wil Wheaton, and I'm so glad I did. He's definitely one of my favorite narrators. Having been a kid in the 80s, I loved all the pop culture references and was pretty much hooked from the start on the story. Definitely a book I'd suggest, especially to a Gen X-er, even if your not a gamer. ...more

This was a great story. I enjoyed the references to video games and 80s trivia, even tho it seemed slightly overdone at times. Good characters and I was drawn into the story at every turn. It's pretty gamer heavy, but with a slight bit of romance thrown in!! ...more
