I thought the book was.interesting because they meet a whole crew of new people conjoined with an old friend. In this book, things start to link together accordingly with or against VFD- the secret organization.

So much better than I remembered! In my first read some years ago, I really developed a huge dislike for Fiona, but now I can easily see why so many fans love her. Her reunion with Fernald, however, has always been one of my absolute favorite ASoUE scenes.
