It's been a while since I read Midnight Alley - mainly because my local library didn't have 'Feast of Fools'. Well, my luck arrived when I borrowed books 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the Morganville Vampires series at the same time!
As per usual, this book starts with a BANG, right where it last left off. This time though, there was also a 'recap' ...I don't remember it in the previous books, but I could be wrong.

I think I liked Midnight Alley just a little better. But as always I loved the funny remarks - especially those involving Shane - and all the trouble and action they always seem to find no matter what. I liked Myrnin a lot in the previous book but he grew on me in this one. I don't really know, maybe it's because he's different from the others vamps and he's symbolizing that even the greatest - Amelie? - can be defeated.
