I honestly don't rate books five at random, but maximum ride is an exception. I actually read the manga first, but when it ended on a cliffhanger, and immediately turned to the books. I love how the chapters are short and to the point, but they still get you interested. I'm also very into reader-protanganist contact. I felt like I was there with max, helping her. This book started the series that I have loved and have been drawn into ever since turning the first page. I love max's character and how she's so strong but sometimes, she's just so annoying brecause she'll walk into a situation and you're just treading it like : "no, max, DON'T DO IT! max! MAX YOU IDIOT!!!"

Beautiful
It's awesome. I really enjoyed it, and whenever I read it, I couldn't put it down. I'll start the 2nd book in the series soon (School's Out Forever). I always enjoy fantasy/real life combination genres, and so I really enjoyed this book. Max is awesome!!!

Hmm, the covers of the latest books actually prompted me to read this series.
