This book was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! The book completely turned the whole series around, it's by far my favorite book of the series. The amount of drama that was in the book made everything suspenseful. I love the fact that Ash and Meghan were able to be together as a couple in this book. ;) There were a lot of sweet moments that made made my heart melt, just to think that they were together was great. 4 stars to this faery book. I was blown away by the idea that the faerys, creatures, and the Iron king were all created from the imagination of the people. Little did the world know that they were creating this alternate world.
Positives Good adventure, very descriptive (I feel like I was seeing and feeling everything Meghan was) my favorite descriptive part is when she walks into her room that her father (king oberon) lets her stay in

Negatives Some crude language, Meghan starts out alittle wimpy, and Grimalkin reminds me to much of a copy off of Alice and Wonderland`s the Cheshire Cat.

Meghan Chase is not a nobody like she believes she is. In her ordinary sad house her only joys can be found in her little step brother Ethan and her best friend Robbie. Strange things begin to happen to Meghan, little glimpses of something watching her, her little brother complaining of a boogyman in his closet, and her best friend becoming more protective. The explanation for this is the glimmer from Nevernever is beginning to wear off and Meghan`s eyes are beginning to see more and more of faeryland.For her this phrase Ignorance is Bliss has some meaning. Leading up to this explanation from Robbie, innocent Ethan is switched with a nasty Changeling (troll`s or a goblin`s offspring) that has taken on the form of Ethan. Only the changelings behavior is so unlike Ethan that Meghan knows something is wrong. The only way for the changeling to find Ethan and bring him back home. Robbie must lead Meghan into Nevernever to find her brother. Nevernever is a world where all magical faerys (fey) and creatures from the human imagination live and several portals from earth lead to it. It is ruled by two courts, the Summer court and the Winter court, who unfortunantly aren`t in very good terms with one another. When Meghan arrives at the summer court and is brought before King Oberon she is surprised to find out that this man is her (view spoiler). King Oberon must keep her safe so his enemies can not use her against him. Feeling like a caged bird Meghan must escape and rescue her brother who she now believes is being held by the winter court. Her only way out presents itself on the evening of Elysium (a day where all the courts peacefully come together and make laws and pass treaties) where a crazed beast crashes the party and Meghan can quietly slip away following her cat guide (Grimalkin). Ethan is not found in the winter courts and Meghan, Grimalkin, Robbie (now known as Puck),and the most least likely companion Ash set off on a lead to find the Iron King.
This unknown king has stemmed from the imagination of man`s technology and metal advances in the modern world. Only the heart of the Elder Dryad`s tree can defeat this enemy and free Ethan from his iron bars.

Part I was a little slow at times, but then it took off. It was wonderful to see favorite old faces. It's been a while since I read the last book, but some things would make more sense if you read it back-to-back, though there were brief recaps so you weren't totally lost.
