Michael Vey is a ninth grader that has special electric abilities. He was in infected when he was a little baby. An evil organization is looking for all the electric children. They kidnap Michael's mother. So him and his best friend Ostin go looking for her only to get captured. In the end they break out of prison and save the others.

I actually got this book signed by Richard Paul Evans and got to shake his hand and chat with him for a few minutes it was so cooooooooooooooooooooooool to chat with him for a few minutes.
Definitely one of my favorite books! Keep reading - the series only gets better.
Was a REALLY good book. Would reccommend it to just about anyone who knows how to read. Can't wait for #2 to come out in August. I think this will be the next big series.
